Real dice rattle, clack and land with a thud. So do these.

A heartbeat in your hand. Your iPhone taps gently each time the dice knock together, and once more as they land.

The clack of the table. Dice clatter against each other and the walls of the tray. Flip your silent switch and they go quiet.

The name

The face of the die.
The number you rolled.

Sainome (say it sigh-no-meh) is the Japanese word for the side of a die that lands face up. In a Japanese kitchen it means something else too: food diced into small, even cubes.

Asked at the table.

Will it work on my iPhone?

Yes, on any iPhone with iOS 17 or later. There's no Android version at the moment.

How many dice can I roll?

One, two or three six-sided dice at a time. More kinds of dice are planned for future updates.

Is it free?

Yes. No ads, nothing to buy and no account to create.

Can I turn off the sound, the vibration or shaking?

Yes, each has its own switch in Settings. The screen stays awake while you play, and you can turn that off too.

Does how I shake change the result?

No. Shaking only starts the roll. Every face has the same chance each time, however you shake.

When can I get it?

Sainome is coming soon to the App Store. When pre-orders open, this page will link to them.
